GMA is a school in the traditional Korean martial art of Tang Soo Do. 

Tang Soo Do is a stand-up combat art known for its powerful kicks and deep stances. Its curriculum includes self-defense, striking skills, weapons handling, sparring, conditioning, and much more. 

Tang Soo Do is not a sport. Rather than training to win medals, practitioners train to develop discipline, better character, greater health, and, most importantly, the ability to defend oneself against a deadly attack.

The difference between GMA and other karate schools is obvious the moment you walk in the doors. At GMA, you will not enter an atmosphere filled with marketing slogans and sales reps. Nor will you see a “black belt factory” giving away meaningless ranks like candy.

Instead, when you become a member of GMA, you are treated like a member of a greater family, whose instructor is completely dedicated to helping you succeed. As an official school of the World Tang Soo Do Association, it allows for smaller, much more personalized classes.
